COLOMA

Since 1966, the Coloma family has been making wine and tending vines in Extremadura -- a Spanish region well off the beaten wine track. Visionary founder José Féliz discovered in Alvarado, along the Guadiana River, the ideal clumate and soils for grape cultivation. Today, his three children -- Amelia, Helena, and Félix -- carry on that legacy.
Alarije, an almost extinct native grape, thrives in the region's heat. The resulting wine is fresh, fragrant, and a remarkable achievement from such a warm landscape.
