Valldolina 'Ona', Penedès Negre
The grapes for this 100% Marselan are hand harvested from Raimon Badell's estate in Alt Penedès, which is located entirely with the national protected area of the Massís del Garraf. The grapes are pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled, stainless steel 3,000-liter vats, then aged for 3 months before bottling.
Marselan was first created in 1961 as a hybrid of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has the exuberant red fruit ripeness of Grenache and the elegant structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. It has been officially introduced in Bordeaux to combat climate change.
Ona is a reference to Núria's daughter, Ona!
