The 80% Tempranillo and 20% Graciano for the Finca de los Locos comes from a single plot, Las Escaleras, that was planted in 1981 on sandy limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed before fermentation takes place in 12k liter stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, with 15% in new oak barrels. Finca de los Locos is then aged for 12-16 months in 500 liter French oak foudre.

The name Finca de los Locos has family roots. Arturo's grandfather bought a neglected plot of land in Baños de Ebro (Peñaescalera). Most of the neighbors of the village called him loco,  because he had spent all his money on an "unproductive" plot of land. After many years analyzing the personality of the soil, climate, and quality of the grapes, Arturo decided to honor abuelo, grandpa, and name the wine 'Finca de los Locos'.

Artuke is a portmanteau of brothers Arturo and Kike de Miguel Blanco.
