Belondrade, 'Belondrade y Lurton' Verdejo
All great stories begin with a dream. Didier Belondrade’s dream was none other than to craft a White Wine, in capital letters, in the land of Don Quixote.
The grapes for this 100% Verdejo are harvested by hand from 23 different parcels scattered across the estate and are individually fermented (spontaneously) and left to age on their lees for 10 to 12 months before a final assemblage and bottling. The plots themselves offer diverse soil compositions, planting patterns and sun exposure, as well as the ages of the vines themselves (from 8 to 50 years).
