Ca n'Estruc, 'L'Equilibrista'
The Ca n'Estruc l'Equilibrista is a blend of Garnatxa Negra, Carinyena, and Syrah, all from various plots ~500 feet above sea level in alluvial clay soils with gravel. The vines are between 18 to 40 years old, and are farmed ecologically and biodynamically.
The grapes were harvested by hand, destemmed and fermented - a part in open French oak barrels and another in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks, with gentle pour overs. Afterward, the wine spends 14 months in a mix of once or twice used French oak barrels.
