Can Tutusaus, 'Uvala', Brisat (Skin Contact)
Raimon Badell, Producer
One of the most captivating and highly adequate places for cultivating vines in Alt Penedès is the remote village of Olesa de Bonesvalls. The existence of the estate and the forest of Can Tutusaus has been documented ever since 1348, but it was only in 1729 that the country house was rebuilt within the inhabited area of the village of Olesa, where the cellar is presently situated.
The estate comprises the country house and the cellar, several hectares of olive groves, which are now productive again after years of abandonment, and 11 hectares of ecological vineyards. What is left, out of the 76 hectares belonging to Can Tutusaus, is covered by a forest of pine and oak trees, dwarf shrubs, brooms, fennel, rosemary, thyme, lavender, dwarf palms and many other Mediterranean plants.
