Xulia Bande 'Son de Arrieiro' Blanco
"This wine is an homage to my grandfather who, like many mule drivers, with no other sound than his own voice, and the company of his mules, plowed the roads of towns and villages of Galicia, allowing the wines of Ribeiro to come to places beyond our borders. In the twilight of his life, he immersed me in a world at that time unknown to me, always looking for, as he used to say, the reward of a job well-done."
Blended grapes from all of Xulia Bande’s vineyards, the wine is made via direct press and fermented on native yeast in stainless steel, then lees-aged for 12 months and after bottling, aged for a further six.
Arrieiro comes from the word 'muleteer', or mule driver. Xulia's grandfather worked driving mules throughout Galicia maintaining roads.
